Visakhapatnam, August 5, 2025 — In a landmark intervention, Vistarana Info, the flagship brand of Vistarana Mass Communication Society, has successfully facilitated insurance relief for the victims of a tragic LPG accident that occurred on November 24, 2023, at Vambay Colony under PM Palem limits.
The accident, which claimed the lives of four individuals, left the victims’ families in distress due to delayed response and lack of immediate assistance from the local gas distributor, Divyalakshmi Gas Agency. Despite the existence of LPG accident insurance policies under Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), communication gaps between distributors, gas companies, and insurance providers often leave families without timely support.
🛠 Bridging the Communication Gap
Vistarana Info, known for its tagline “Your Mass Communicator”, stepped in to bridge this gap. As the world’s first mass communication society dedicated to aiding the poor and needy, the organization specializes in drafting formal communications and guiding victims through bureaucratic processes—especially in cases involving LPG accidents.
Through persistent efforts and strategic communication with HP Gas Visakhapatnam Regional Authorities, Vistarana Info ensured that the insurance claims were processed. On August 4, 2025, a compensation cheque of ₹24 lakhs—₹6 lakhs per deceased—was handed over to Ms. Karri Manayakam, the legal heir, in the presence of her grandson Karri Kishore.

Speaking to the media, Karri Kishore expressed heartfelt gratitude to Vistarana Info for their unwavering support. “Without their help, we wouldn’t have received this relief. Their drafting and communication made all the difference,” he said.
He also voiced strong criticism against the local distributor, citing negligence in providing timely medical aid and relief. “We are planning to take legal action against the distributor for violating LPG OMCs’ policies. We request Vistarana Info’s continued support in filing a case with the National Human Rights Commission or Consumer Forum,” he added.
